Big shirt collars, opulent sleeves, glittering elements – are we back in the 70s? You might think so when you see the current collection of the Berlin label Danny Reinke. “German Nerdiness” has long been his motto when it comes to creating individual, ironic but also intelligent fashion.
It seems that the designer wanted to achieve everything with his fashion, especially through his generous and elaborate designs, except minimalism. But then you see repetitive patterns, elegant shapes and simple tones. Through patterns, textures and shrill colours but also elements of nature. The feeling of autumn comes up with accent colours that remind of a yellow, purple lotus flower. Calm, elegant music, which gives a feeling of serenity but still adrenalin through pulsating sounds.
All in all, Danny Reinke’s complex yet sophisticated collection is no better described than under his theme itself: “Faded Blossom”.
