The novel coronavirus makes companies falter internationally: Disney Cruise Line has now also taken serious measures to help control the virus.
From Saturday, 14 March 2020, there will be no new Disney Cruise Line departures. According to the current situation, the decision is expected to last until the end of the month. Disney Cruise Line apologised to all guests on the website, but emphasised that in this worrying situation, the well-being of holidaymakers and employees is the highest priority.
A three-night cruise of the Disney Dream is scheduled to take place from today, Friday 13 March in Port Canaveral, until Monday 16 March, when it returns there. The Disney Wonder will continue its planned route so far and finish its journey in San Diego on March 20. She is currently in the Panama Canal. The guests of the Disney Fantasy and Disney Magic will leave their ships tomorrow, the 14th of March.
Affected guests are lucky in their misfortune and will receive either a full refund or a future cruise credit. Disney Cruise Line advises all travellers to wait for an e-mail from the company and not to contact the call centres hastily due to capacity bottlenecks.
A list of all affected cruises, as well as further information, can be found on the Disney Cruise Line website.
