Metallica postpones upcoming tour of Australia and New Zealand

The band released a post on Facebook with the sad news to postpone all dates in Australia and New Zealand. The reason for this is the addictive behaviour of band member James Hetfield, who had to re-enter a treatment program to work on his recovery. James has been struggling with the consumption of drugs for years.

Metallica apologizes to all affected fans and regrets the circumstances very much. Nevertheless the health of James has the highest priority at this time. The band plans to reschedule the tour at the appropriate time.

All tickets purchased for shows in Australia and New Zealand will be fully refunded. More information can be found on Metallica’s Facebook page.
